DAY 1: DAKAR – SAINT LOUIS. (About 270 km/04h30)
Road to Saint Louis historic city and old capital of West Africa. Lunch in Flamingo restaurant with a very nice view over Faidherbe bridge. Afternoon visit of the old town listed as World Heritage by UNESCO, ride in traditional horse carriage and discover the preserved monuments of the colonial city: Faidherbe Bridge, t colonial houses, Town Hall, Cathedral of Saint-Louis, Airmail Museum and fishermen quarter Guet Ndar. Installation, dinner and overnight in hotel la Poste.

DAY 2: SAINT LOUIS – DJOUDJ PARK – DAKAR. (About 370 km/05h30)
Morning visit of Djoudj birds Park, listed world heritage by UNESCO, it is the first water point right after flying over the Sahara desert for migrating birds. More than 350 species birds are coming each winter in this place: cormorans, pelicans, whistling ducks, gambian geese, fishing eagles but also crocodiles, varans, warthogs and jackals. Boat safari with an expert guide and observation of birds. Lunch in Djoudj Park restaurant and back to hote in the afternoon.

Lunch just in front of the lake and road to Loumpoul village. Transfer with 4WD to join our cam accommodation. After a warm welcome, enjoy sunset on the dunes. Dinner and overnight in Mauritanian tents in Loumpoul Lodge.
DAY 2: LOUMPOUL – DJOUDJ NATIONAL PARK- LANGUE DE BARBARIE (About 270 km/04h30)

Continuation to Ocean et Savane Lodge located in Langue de Barbarie National park to enjoy a beautiful sunset front of the river. Dinner and overnight in Ocean et Savane Lodge.
DAY 3: LANGUE DE BARBARIE NATIONAL RESERVE – DAKAR (About 280km/ 04h30)

DAY 1: DAKAR- FADIAL – NDANGANE (About 130km/03h00)
Road to join the Delta of Saloum, drive into a palm tree and baobabs Forest. Stop at Fadial Village to admire one of the biggest baobab tree in Senegal. Continuation to Ndangane; a small river side port of fishing boats. Lunch in Cordons Bleus hotel. Afternoon boat excursion to birds island . Dinner and overnight at Cordons Bleus hotel.

DAY 2: NDANGANE – MAR LODJ ISLAND – NDANGANE (30mns dugout G/R)
Boat transfer to join Mar Lodge Island. Visit Marfafaco and Mar lodge village with local horse carriage. Meetings witht village chief, main artists and titled people. DAY 3: NDANGANE – FADIOUTH SHELL ISLAND – DAKAR (About 140km/03h00)
Departure to Joal –Fadiouth. Drive through the palmtrees forest of Samba Dia and charming “Serere” villages with traditional huts. Visit of Fadiouth Shell Island by foot: the cemetery for Muslins and Christians, the market, the church, the white alleys where shells are ubiquitous. Lunch in Taverne de Joal Restaurant and continuation to Mbour fishing port, at the time of fishermen arrival.

DAY 1: ARRIVAL DAKAR
Arrival in Dakar and assistance by our team, transfer and overnight in Madrague hotel.
DAY 2: DAKAR –KAOLACK (About 180 km/4h)
After breakfast, road to southeast Senegal to Kaolack, capital of peanut.
Stop for lunch in the Catholic Mission of Ndiaganiao, and visit to their learning workshops dedicated to villagers. Continuation to Kaolack, visit of: craft center, traditional cover market, the dunes of peanuts and salt. Dinner and overnight in Relais de Kaolack.

DAY 3: KAOLACK – NIOKOLO KOBA PARK GATEWAY. (About 335km/6h)
Early departure and road through the shrubby savanna to Tambacounda, crossroads-town and important stopping point along the railway line to Mali. Lunch in Relais de Tambacounda hotel and continuation to Niokolo Koba National Park. Accomodation in Wassadou Ecolodge by Gambia RiveR in a natural environment.
Boat trip on Gambian river to meet hippopotamus or walking along Gambia River with a guide in a wild fauna and flora. Dinner and overnight in Wassadou Ecolodge .
DAY 4 : SAFARI NIOKOLO KOBA – MAKO (About 130 km/02h)
Full day safari in the park. This huge park of about 1000000 acres with its 600 kms pathways with many west African animals and birds : Hippos, wharthogs, baboons, Koba antelopes… Picnic lunch by a water point. Keep exploring through the savannas and the dense forest galleries offering a beautiful and lush vegetation. Continuation to Mako, installation, dinner and overnight in Keur Annick Camp.
DAY 5: MAKO – KEDOUGOU (About 40 km/01h)
After breakfast, visit to miners of Tomboronkoto. This village hosts a variety of African Nationals, attracted by the gold discovery. Visit of the artisanal gold mines and back to Mako for lunch. Continuation to Kedougou, Visit of the market with many stalls selling local crafts, including “Indigo” campaigns made with natural dyeing. In the afternoon walking along Gambia River where people wash clothes. Dinner and overnight in Bedik hotel de Kedougou with its panoramic restaurant overlooking Gambia River.

DAY 6: KEDOUGOU – DINDEFELO FALLS – KEDOUGOU (About 80 km/01h30)
Road to the foothills of the Fouta, considered as water tower of West Africa. Continuation to Dindefelo, an ethnic Peul village. See curious termites hills shaped like mushrooms. Quick tour of the village of Dindefelo before taking a 20 min walk to reach the refreshing waterfalls in an exceptional landscape, both wild and hilly. This water falls from 80 meters in a naturel swimming pool. Refreshing bath under the falls and picnic before return to Kedougou in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight in Bedik hotel.
DAY 7 : KEDOUGOU – BEDIK COUNTRY – WASSADOU (About 250 km/04h)
Morning, road to Ibel Peul village. Ascent to the traditional Bedik village of Iwol; a minority ethnic group who still believe in animism. To avoid mass islamisation, they preferred to hide up in the mountains of the Fouta Djallon, the highest in Senegal. Visit of this native village and meeting with the village chief to discover their traditions after a short walk.(maximum 45 mns). Lunch in picnic and continuation to Wassadou Ecolodge. Dinner and overnight in Wassadou Ecolodge.
DAY 8: WASSADOU – MBOUR (About 445 km/07h)

Departure to Retba Lake, know under the name of Pink Lake. Visit of the Lake, the salt extraction area and a Peul Village. Unforgettable sensation after swimming in the lake. Lunch in restaurant in front of the lake and back to Dakar. Boarding the ferry Aline Sitoe Diatta, who provides the link between Dakar and Casamance since 2009. Departure to Ziguinchor.

DAY 3: – SATURDAY – ZIGUINCHOR –DJIBELOR (About 15km/20 mn)
Entry by the delta of Casamance River. Far view of mangroves and palm tree groves. Arrival in Ziguinchor and meeting with your guide. Tour of the old Portuguese and French trading counter: French cultural center, Governance, Chamber of Commerce and Saint Maure market. Lunch in hotel Kadiandoumagne. Visit of the floral garden and crocodiles farm of Djibelor. Back to Ziguinchor, dinner and overnight in Kadiandoumagne hotel.
DAY 4: – SUNDAY – ZIGUINCHOR – OUSSOUYE – CAP SKIRING (About 70km/01h)
Visit of a typical “impluvium house” in Niambalang and continuation to Edioungou, famous for its potteries. You can watch the local women create their pretty wares and purchase them. Visit to the women’s local cashewnut processing workshop and the King of Oussouye depending of its availability. Road to Mlomp for its storey houses, and the interesting Diola museum. Lunch in a local restaurant in Oussouye. After a little tour in Cap Skirring, dinner and overnight in Maya hotel.
DAY 5: – MONDAY – CAP SKIRING – KARABANE ISLAND – CAP SKIRING (About 50 km/01h – 01h dugout)
Boat to Karabane Island, first French trading post in Casamance to visit: the colonial slaves’ house, the church, the cemetery where we can see Capitan Aristide Protet’s grave. Lunch in Karabane. Afternoon for leisure and or fishing ( on supplement) . Back to Cap Skiring, dinner and overnight in Maya hotel.

DAY 6: – TUESDAY – CAP SKIRING – CASAMANCE ECOPARK – CAP SKIRING (About 30km/40mn)
Visit of Casamance Ecopark Reserve with its 400 ha. Funded in 2010, to protect environment in collaboration with villagers. It’s also a convenient space for environment students and researchers. Visit of Sangat Museum and back to Maya hotel for lunch. Enjoy a relaxing afternoon in the beach with various activities : VTT, quad, fishing etc… Dinner and overnight in Maya hotel.
DAY 7: WEDNESDAY – CAP SKIRING – DIEMBERING and BOUYOUYE (About 30km/40mn)
Visit of Diemberng and Bouyouye. This villages have preserved their traditions and culture: wrestling, traditional celebrations, collect of palm tree wine…., with a presence of majestic trees. You will receive a warm welcome. Lunch in Djimbering and back to Cap Skriring for shopping in craft market.
Dinner and overnight in Maya Hotel.
DAY 8 : THURSDAY – CAP SKIRING- ZIGUINCHOR (About 70km/01h)
Morning transfer to Ziguinchor. Free lunch and boarding in the ferry to Dakar. Possibility to see Gambian coast. With a little bit of luck, you will see dolphins. Overnight on board.
DAY 9: FRIDAY – DAKAR – GOREE ISLAND – AIRPORT (25 mn ferry/trip)
Disembarkation and Crossing with the ferry (25 mn) to visit Goree Island: slaves house, St Charles’ church, the historical museum, and the workshops painters; walking through the narrow streets, with colored houses and bougainvillea. Strolling in Goree. Dinner in “Chevaliers de Boufflers” restaurant and day use accommodation before transfer to Dakar airport.

DAY 1: DAKAR – NIOKOLO KOBA PARK GATEWAY (Wassadou) (About 510 km/08h)
Morning departure through the wooded savannah, predilection area of nomads. Lunch at “Relais de Kaolack” hotel, located along the Saloum river. Continuation to Wassadou by Gambia River and accommodation at Wassadou Ecocamp on the edge of Niokolo Koba Park. Typicals huts comfortably equipped in a natural environment. Dinner and overnight at Wassadou Ecocamp.

DAY 2 : WASSADOU – NIOKOLO KOBA PARK – KEDOUGOU (About 185km/03h)
EarlY departure with a fauna expert guide for a safari in Niokolo Koba park in varied and lush vegetation, looking for wild animals: warthogs, monkeys, antelopes, many species of birds and exceptionally panthers and lions.
After the park visit and picnic lunch, road to Mako village for a trecking along Gambia River to observe the hippos and continuation to join Kedougou city. Accommodation , dinner and overnight at Bedik hotel de Kédougou
DAY 3: KEDOUGOU – BEDIK COUNTRY – DINDEFELO – KEDOUGOU (About 80km/01h30)
After breakfast, departure to visit the Bedik ethnic group. Visit of Iwol village, on the heights (2hrs30 trekking outward and return, Road to Dindefelo, Peul village to get to Dindefelo falls after a 20 minutes trekking in the forest .
